On board an Hangchow Bay trader type junk berthed alongside another junk at Shanghai. The photographer is looking aft from the starboard waist just abaft the foredeck showing a windlass ahead of the mainmast and a crew shelter abaft the mainmast. Her mizzen lug sail is stowed athwartships across the stern. The tops of her main and mizzen masts are out of the picture. Negative number P34212 is on board the same vessel.
