A starboard broadside view of the Swatow trader type junk 169 anchored at Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong

A starboard broadside view of the Swatow trader type junk 169 anchored near a wharf at Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong. She is a three masted vessel and her mizzen mast is lashed in the starboard corner of the poop. Her lug sails are stowed and she has occuli on her bow. Her port number is painted twice on her hull and another number, possibly T1213H, can also be faintly seen. Four storey flat roofed buildings are on the wharf are in the background. The photographer was in the area in the following periods: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938.
