A slightly distant starboard bow view of a Canton salt junk anchored at Hong Kong
A slightly distant starboard bow view of a Canton salt junk anchored at Hong Kong. She appears to be laden and to have had her sails and booms unshipped. Her port number and a larger number are painted on the starboard side of her bow but are not quite legible. Two other salt junks, a steam ferry and a cargo steamer are in the background. The photographer was in the area in the following periods: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938. Negative number P34194 is a similar view of this vessel.
