A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the fore part of the Macao salt junk 9147 anchored at Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong. Her lug sails are stowed fore and aft and are covered with matting. Her port number is painted on the bow. She has her starboard anchor down and she has two anchors to port, one hanging over the bow and the other tied up to the bulwark. Her aft end including the poop is out of the picture. The photographer was in the area in the following periods: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938.
