An enclosed fishing pier at Seletar, Singapore

An enclosed fishing pier at the Seletar flying boat base, Singapore The rectangular pier encloses an open area and a wooden seat is on the end of the pier. Above the seat is a notice which reads: "Baits free. For every fish caught in this pond $2.50 have to be paid. Customers who do not wish to take the fish and pay are requested not to fish in this pond." The photographer's ship was at Singapore in the periods 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 February 1938, 9 to 23 March 1938 and 17 - 29 September 1938.
