Looking down onto seven men in an open rowing boat, possibly a Royal Navy skiff, alongside a jetty at the Royal Air Force sailing club at Seletar, Singapore. The men are wearing short sleeve shirts, shorts and trilby hats and are naval or Fleet Air Arm officers from the aircraft carrier Eagle (1918) off on a picnic or banyan party. The photographer was a pilot and adjutant of 824 Squadron Fleet Air Arm serving on the Eagle (1918) and she was at Singapore in the periods 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 Febraury 1938, 9 to 23 March 1938 and 17 to 29 September 1938.
