The men are wearing short sleeve shirts, shorts and trilby hats and are naval or Fleet Air Arm officers from the aircraft carrier Eagle (1918) off on a picnic or banyan party. The photographer was a pilot and adjutant of 824 Squadron Fleet Air Arm serving on the Eagle (1918) and she was at Singapore in the periods 9 April to 1 May 1937, 13 January to 26 Febraury 1938, 9 to 23 March 1938 and 17 to 29 September 1938.
