A close starboard bow view of the Pechili trader type junk 1091 moored at Tsingtao. Her bow sail is hoisted to dry and her foresail is stowed. The top of her foremast is out of the picture, as is everything aft of the foremast. A group of small Pechili traders fitted with leeboards are in the background. The photographer's ship was at Tsingtao on the two occasions 22 July to 13 August 1937 and 17 August to 5 September 1937. Number 1091 can be seen in negatives numbers P34324 and P34327 to P34333 inclusive. A vertical format negative.
