A close view of the sterns of the Pechili trader type junks 1091 and 3705 moored at Tsingtao, taken from the port quarter. The photographer is looking at their transoms and overhanging galleries. The tops of their mizzen masts are out of the picture. A small boat is alongside the starboard quarter of 3705. The photographer's ship was at Tsingtao on the two occasions 22 July to 13 August 1937 and 17 August to 5 September 1937. Number 1091 can be seen in negatives numbers P34324 and P34327 to P34333 inclusive and number 3705 is in negatives numbers P34324, P34327 and P34330 to P34333 inclusive. A vertical format negative.
