A close view of the waist of a fully rigged model of the Pechili trader type junk number 1510, taken from above the starboard beam looking down and to port, under construction at the Roman Catholic Church at Liu Kung Tao, near Weihaiwei. The mainmast, the accommodation deckhouse and some of the hatch covers have been fitted. The top of the mast is out of the picture.
The model, which is displayed on a wooden stand on a box, was commissioned by D W Waters and made by Tung Ya and his assistants at the back of the Roman Catholic Church in Liu Kung Tao, near Weihaiwei. It is now part of the NMM collection with the reference AAE0160. Negatives numbers P34339 to P34346 are of this model.
