The sails of the fully rigged model of Pechili trader type junk 1510 at the Roman Catholic Church at Liu Kung Tao near Weihaiwei

A close view of the sails of a fully rigged model of the Pechili trader type junk number 1510, taken from off the starboard quarter looking forward and to port, at the Roman Catholic Church at Liu Kung Tao, near Weihaiwei. The model has a quarter sail, a port side studding sail, a mainsail, a main topsail, a staysail and a foresail set. The mizzen mast is out of the picture and the bow mast and bow sail are hidden behind the foresail.
The model, which is displayed on a wooden stand on a box, was commissioned by D W Waters and made by Tung Ya and his assistants at the back of the Roman Catholic Church in Liu Kung Tao, near Weihaiwei. It is now part of the NMM collection with the reference AAE0160. Negatives numbers P34339 to P34346 are of this model.
