The Shantung trader type junk 750 under sail at Tsingtao

A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the three masted Shantung trader type junk 750 under sail at Tsingtao. She is laden and her port number 750 is painted twice on her hull. She has single lug sails set at each mast and her boat is stowed on deck ahead of the mainmast. the tip of her mainmast is just out of the picture. The photographer's ship was at Tsingtao in the periods 22 July to 13 August 1937 and 17 August to 5 September 1937. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P34395 to P34397 are of this junk.
