On board an Antung trader type junk anchored at Weihaiwei. The photographer is on the starboard side of the waist looking forward and to port showing the foot of the mainmast with the lugsail stowed fore and aft. The photographer was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative.
