A close view of the port bow of the pole junk 1697 anchored at Weihaiwei. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard from off the port bow showing the flat bow with two anchor chains down and another anchor hanging from the port cathead. Her sails are stowed and she has an occuli at the bow. Her stern and her masts are out of the picture. The photographer's ship was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. Negative number P34438 is also of this vessel.
