A starboard quarter view, taken from fine of the starboard quarter, of the Lorcha type junk 1438 mooring at Shanghai. Her sails are stowed and she is manoeuvring alongside the Foochow pole junk 4573. She has a boat suspended from beams over the stern and her accommodation ladder is stowed on the starboard quarter. The photographer's ship was in Northern Chinese waters in the periods 3 June to 10 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative.
