A very distant starboard broadside view of the Ningpo fisher type junk 1883 under sail at Shanghai She is a two masted vessel with a spritsail rig and has an occuli at the bow. Her port number 1883 is painted twice on her hull. Two unidentified junks with two masted lug rigs are in the background. The photographer's ship was in Northern Chinese waters in the periods 3 June to 10 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938.
