A bow view of a fisher sampan on the shore at Weihaiwei

A bow view, taken from dead ahead, of a fisher sampan pulled up on the beach at Weihaiwei. She has two pairs of thole pins on her bow and is of a completely different hull construction to sampan 128. The photographer's ship was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P34472 to P34474 are of this boat.
