A port quarter view of a Weihaiwei trader type junk anchored at Weihaiwei. She is two masted and her lug sails are stowed fore and aft. Her port number is painted twice on her hull but it is obscured. Her rudder is hoisted. A sampan is in the foreground. The Royal Navy County class heavy cruiser Cumberland (1926) is anchored in the background. The photographer's ship was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938. A vertical formet negative.
