The Shantung trader type junk 110 under sail at Weihaiwei

A port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Shantung trader type junk 110 under sail at Weihaiwei. She is two masted, has a single lug sail set at each mast and is deeply laden. Her sails have been frequently patched, using different colour materials. Her port number 110 is painted twice on her hull. The photographer was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative. Negative number P34507 is also of this junk.
