A starboard side view of the sails of a Yung Ho Pao trader type junk at Weihaiwei. The junk is close to a quayside and the hull is completely hidden by clutter in the foreground. The sails are probably hoisted to dry and the large mainsail has 26 battens. The photographer's ship was at Weihaiwei in the periods 3 June to 21 July 1937, 14 to 17 August 1937, 6 September to 7 October 1937, 8 June to 12 August 1938 and 20 August to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative.
