A stern view of the Foochow pole junk (trader) 3179 anchored at Weihaiwei. The stern is highly decorative, the rudder has been drawn inboard and her boat is suspended by rope slings above the rudder housing. Her mainmast top is out of the picture. A Japanese Momi class destroyer is in the right background. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.
