A starboard quarter view of the Foochow pole junk (trader) 3179 anchored at Weihaiwei. Only the stern, which is highly decorative is in the picture. The rudder has been drawn inboard, her boat is suspended by rope slings above the rudder housing and her mizzen sail has been unshipped. The top of her mizzen mast is out of the picture. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.
