On board the Foochow pole junk (trader) 3179 anchored at Weihaiwei. The photographer is on the centreline of the foredeck looking forward and to port showing the port side of the catting windlass and the base of the foremast. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.
