On board the Foochow pole junk (trader) 3179 anchored at Weihaiwei. The photographer is on the starboard side of the foredeck close to the bow looking forward showing the catting windlass and the gap between the raised windlass and the top of the stem. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.
