On board the Foochow pole junk (trader) 3179 anchored at Weihaiwei. The photographer is on the port side of the waist looking aft and to starboard showing the mainmast prop in position with a cargo hatch beneath it. Another cargo hatch is abaft the mainmast. The access in the starboard bulwark is open and the main shroud is next to it. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.
