On board the Foochow pole junk (trader) 3179 anchored at Weihaiwei. The photographer is on the port side of the poop looking aft showing the port aft corner of the poop including the poop rails. A pile of poor condition bamboo matting is in the corner. The photographer was in the area in the periods 3 June to 7 October 1937 and 8 June to 4 September 1938. Negative number N34539 is very similar. Negatives numbers P34519 to P34540 are all of this vessel taken on the same occasion.
