Looking aft from the waist on board the small Kowloon Bay fisher type junk (or sampan) T130H on shore parallel to the water in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. Hatches are over the fish hold forward and abaft the mainmast and the lug sails are stowed fore and aft. A wooden windlass is to port of the foot of the mainmast and a bamboo basket is in the left foreground. The photographer was in the area in the following periods: 6 to 28 May 1937; 14 October 1937 to 8 January 1938; 14 April to 4 June 1938 and 8 to 12 September 1938. Negatives numbers P34553 to P34557 inclusive are of the same vessel taken on the same occasion.
