A model of a Yeungkong fisher type junk

A port side view of the poop of a fully rigged model of a Yeungkong fisher type junk. The model, which is displayed on a wooden stand on a table, was commissioned by D W Waters and made by Tung Ya and his assistants at the back of the Roman Catholic Church in Liu Kung Tao, near Weihaiwei. The photographer is looking almost vertically down on the model from ahead of the mizzen mast showing the aft hatch to the fish hold on the left ahead of the poop. The rudder post, the awning and the awning booms have been removed revealing the rudder well and the hatch down to the accommodation. Negatives numbers P34571 to P34578 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
