Toffee tin
A rectangular toffee tin, the lid decorated with a three-quarter-length portrait of Prince Philip in naval lieutenant's uniform. Around the sides, silhouettes of his ships: HMS 'Vanguard', HMS 'Eagle', HMS 'Apollo' and HMS 'Magpie'. They are interspersed with anchors entwined with red rope. A red rope border runs round the bottom of the tin. Presumably produced to commemorate the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip in November 1947.
Edward Sharp and Sons produced a range of toffees at the Kreemy Works in Maidstone, Kent.
