Patch box
Oval patch box commemorating the battle of Camperdown, 1797. The surface is enamelled with a white base, royal blue sides and polychrome lid with a mirror inside. The lid is painted with two opposing fleets in line of battle; inscribed above 'Admiral Duncan forming the line against the Dutch Fleet'. The scene has a border of gilt lines and white spots.
