Patch box

Oval patch box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and the battle of the Nile, 1798. The surface is enamelled with a green base and sides; the white lid with a black inscription: 'The Arabs danc'd / & Fill'd the SKY / With Nelsons glorious VICTORY'.
