Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the base white, sides green, the lid with a tinted transfer depicting a wreath and two trumpets. Within the wreath is inscribed: 'BRITISH GRATITUDE TO NELSONS VALOUR'. The lid has a green border with white spots.
