Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the white base and sides with blue leaf stripe decoration between red flowers. The lid has a border of blue and white triangles with white spots. The centre is painted in colour with two ships in action with the inscription 'Nelson & Victory 1st. Aug 1798'.
