Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the base and sides green, the lid edged green with white dots. It is painted in colour with a sailor, leaning against an anchor, indicating two ships in the background, inscribed above: 'To serve without Bribe, tis a true Britons Pride'.
