Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The surface is enamelled, the base white, sides royal blue, the lid is painted with depiction of a sailor standing beside a monument inscribed 'In Memory of Ld NELSON'. He hold a banner inscribed 'He lives in our Hearts'. The lid has a blue and gilt border with white spots.
