Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The base and gadrooned sides are enamelled pink. The white lid has a border pattern of pink triangles and blue spots within which is a transferred inscription in black cursive script 'Nelson/his King & Countrys/PRIDE/Who in the Blaze of Glory/DIED'.
