Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The suface is enamelled, the base and sides pink. The lid is bordered in gilt and white with white spots. In the centre is a white anchor on a blue background on which is superimposed a diamond shape inscribed 'Nelson and Victory'. A gold and white flower motif is placed on either side.
