Patch box
Oval enamelled patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The base and sides are royal blue, the lid has a border of the same colour with white spots. An inner border is inscribed: 'Mourn England mourn Grim death as Tore the Darling Nelson away.' Painted in colour with a figure mourning at a tomb inscribed: 'Sacred to Nelson'.
