Patch box

Oval enamelled patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The base and sides are pink, the lid white with a coloured transfer of a seated Britannia, a lion at her side, being greeted and handed an olive branch by a standing Peace. In the background, rocks to the right and a ship to the left. inscribed: 'Peace Rewarding Britannia.'
