Box
A box carved with laurel, oak leaves, acorns and swags, with nine silver cartouches giving the names and dates of various actions; the box is fitted with a spring spool with a length of vellum listing the - 'officers who having had the honour of serving under the late Admiral ... have presented his picture to the Royal Hospital, Greenwich, 1847', plus miscellaneous papers and an address to Sir Robert Stopford from the scholars of the Royal Naval School dated 19 Oct 1841. There is a key on a length of string wrapped around the box.
