Flask

A flask made from a hollowed out coconut with a silver fitting at the top and two suspension rings further down, all the silver fittings are hallmarked. The fitting at the top forms part of a face with a protruding nose, red eyes, and a mouth with teeth. On one side of the shell is a carving, surrounded by a floral border, depicting a sailor presenting a flower to a woman in a bonnet. On the other side is a carving of Horatio Nelson's Funeral car. There is a motif carved into the bottom. The flask has a silver, cylindrical lid with a domed top with a suspension loop at the top. The lid is hallmarked inside. In addition there is a silver and cork stopper, with a suspension loop at the top.
