Snuff box
Snuff box said to have been given by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson to Emma Hamilton.
Small rectangular gold and enamel box with canted corners. The lid has a cloisonné enamel decorative border in blue, white and green, surrounding a classical landscape with pillars, a fountain, a lake and mountains depicted in full colour. The edges of the box are gold with decorative borders and corners.
Inside the lid is a cursive inscription: 'Dear Emma from N B', the 'NB' monogram being behind a viscount's coronet.
