Snuff box
Snuff box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A round silver box with a lid, decorated in repoussé work with a profile potrait of Nelson facing left. An inscription on the lid reads: 'ADMIRAL LD NELSON BORN 29TH SEPTR 1758.' On the base: 'CONQUEROR AT ABOUKIR 1 AUGT. 1798. COPENHAGEN 2 APRIL 1801. TRAFALGAR 21 OCTR. 1805 WHERE HE GLORIOUSLY FELL.'
