Tobacco box
Tobacco box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). It is made of embossed sheet brass. On the lid, a profile portrait of Nelson facing left within a beaded edge. It is inscribed: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON. BORN 29 SEPT. 1758.' The sides and base are plain and are a poor fit with the lid. The base is a replacement.
