Tobacco box
Tobacco box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). A round box made of embossed sheet brass. On the lid, a profile portrait of Nelson facing left. The lid is inscribed: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON' surrounded by beading and a key pattern. A Greek key pattern also decorates the sides. On the base between two oak branches: 'CONQUEROR AT ABOUKIR 1 AUGT 1798 COPENHAGEN 2 APRIL 1801 TRAFALGAR 21 OCTR 1805 WHERE HE GLORIOUSLY FELL.'
