Pierced trellis work token box commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), with a screw on lid. It contains four gilt tokens commemorating Nelson's victories. (a) Obverse: The admiral's bust, profile facing left. 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY'. Reverse: 'ABOUKIR / 14 ENG / DEFEATED / 15 FRENCH / 10 TAKEN 2 BURNT / AUG 1 1798.' (b) The admiral's bust, profile facing left. 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY'. Reverse: 'COPENHAGEN / THE DAN. FLEET / OF 17 SAIL / TAKEN, SUNK / OR DESTROYED / APRIL 2 1801.'
