Glass and ivory picture commemorating the battle of the Nile, 1798. A naval battle painted on ivory with a small ship and a boat painted on the reverse of the domed glass cover. The glass has a gold rim and a white inner border. In a circular soapstone frame. Inscription 'ADML NELSON'S VICTORY ON THE 1ST AUGUST 1798.'
