Beaker

Horn beaker commemorating the Battle of Trafalgar, 1805. It has a silver rim and the surface is engraved with the ships of the opposing fleets at Trafalgar, a coastline shown in the distance. Inscribed around the base: 'ADMIRAL LORD NELSON'S ATTACK UPON THE COMBINED FLEET OFF TRAFALGAR OCTR 21ST 1805'. Above: 'CAPE TRAFALGAR', 'SANTISSIMA TRINIDAD', 'VICTORY'. It is signed by the maker 'N. SPILMAN SCULP YARMO'.
