Pipe case
A carved hardwood case for a clay pipe with a sliding shutter below. It is carved as a mermaid, the head with long curling hair merging with the twisted fish tail. Below the tail, the case is carved with flowes, shells and foliage, ending in a metal mouthpiece. The sliding shutter has a standing female figure, Venus in a scallop shell, another scallop at the wider end and scrolling foliage.
