Small half-length bust of Nelson in uniform standing on a rectangular pinth on an oval base, with green baize on the bottom. The legend 'Nelson 1758 - 1805' is on the front of the plinth and the signature 'ML '80' on the back of the plinth. This is a specimen presented by Martin Lorenz, the maker, who had modelled the bust from sources in the Museum and produced them in quantity for sale in the NMM bookshop of that time.
