Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805)
Bronze/copper alloy bust of Nelson, in uniform, with a cut-away back and on a round socle similar to the Robinson and Leadbetter Parian type. The name 'NELSON' is incised on the front. This item is part of the Sutcliffe-Smith Collection, on loan to the Museum from 1946 and purchased in 1974.
